The recent Stardew Valley 1.6 update title banner hints at the possible inclusion of Prairie Island and its raccoons.
Stardew Valley is a cozy farming simulation game that ConcernedApem, Eric Barone, developed. Players can enjoy a simple farming life, go into the mines, or head to town and the different regions.
Many new features were added in the last major 1.5 update of Stardew Valley. This included new dialogues, events, minigames, puzzles, a villager, and a new region called Ginger Island.
Before the release of the 1.5 update, players were teased regarding Ginger Island. This is an island part of the Fern Islands archipelago in the movie “Natural Wonders: Exploring Our Vibrant World” that players can watch in the movie theater. Fans began speculating that Prairie Island may be included in the 1.6 update due to the title banner in the dev’s announcement.
The title banner included the title of the game, 1.6 update, and a raccoon on top of the E. This led many to believe that it could hint at Prairie Island, known for its abundant population of raccoons.
A player stated that ConcernedApe already confirmed that 1.6 wouldn’t have a large regional addition but rather an overhaul to existing locations. They recall an X thread last month where the dev confirmed that 1.6 is comparable to 1.5 due to adding new stuff to already existing regions and features.
Another Reddit user agreed that 1.6 may not include Prairie Island. They shared that it’s still possible to be added in the future, as Ginger Island was teased in the same movie.
In reply, a player shared that there are new trees, foliage, warp totem, and the raccoon. They speculated that Prairie Island may be a smaller area like the Desert.
Another Stardew Valley fan stated that additions in the 1.6 update are still up in the air and that the dev warned players not to expect much but recently said that he worked harder than expected. They said they wouldn’t be disappointed by whatever tricks ConcernedApe has up his sleeves.
Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update will be coming soon in March 2024 to PC, and other platforms will shortly follow. Stay tuned for more Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier updates in the future!
