One of Valorant’s most-loved maps returns to the game in the upcoming update! Here are the best Agent picks for Haven on your next ranked game.
After spending a while in the dark, Valorant’s first three-site map is ready to see action again. While we still don’t know how much of Haven will change upon its return, we could safely say that we still have a rough image or memory of the top-picked agents for this map.
Before being benched, Haven is one of the best maps to watch in pro play and one of the top maps to master. This map allows many team plays and lurking possibilities, making it one of the most meta-defining maps in the game.
We’ve listed our top picks for the best agents per role for Valorant’s Haven below.
Agents like Reyna and Iso rely on player skill instead of the Agent’s abilities. We’ve decided not to include these two agents on our Best Agents in Valorant Maps lists.
Best Duelist in Haven
Jett
It’s almost needless to say how much Jett synergizes with seemingly every map on the pool. She’s basically all you need in a Duelist – great abilities for taking space, a smoke for safer entries or to aid teammates and an updraft that grants easy escape or peeking advantage.
As a common pick on nearly all of our best agent map guides, it’s time to practice your Jett skills if you’re looking to make your mark as a duelist.
Neon
With the news of Neon’s newly upgraded kit, no duelist main could deny she’s now a top contender for the best duelist rankings. The upcoming 8.11 buffs effectively remove most factors that make Valorant players think twice about picking Neon.
Neon’s movement makes her hard to catch, especially for a map where long sight lines make it easy for operator-wielding defenders is always a threat for the attacking team. Moreover, Neon’s stun abilities can help clear corners and hide spots that the team may otherwise overlook.
Best Controller in Haven
Omen
Omen’s recharging of smoke is always an advantage on a three-site map, where rotation is always imminent. But what takes Omen above and beyond other smoker Agents is his teleport and blind abilities – all of which would be heavily viable for Haven’s tricky elevations and hiding spots.
Best Initiator in Haven
Sova
It’s time to bring out your trusted line-ups on Haven, which is the main reason why Sova is a top-picked Agent on this map! While Fade saw a short era of dominance on Haven, her pick rating mainly relies on her synergy with Raze.
And with Sova’s ever-reliable recon dart, you’ll easily know the enemy location whether you’re on the defending or attacker side of the map.
Breach
Haven is undeniably Breach’s main map. There are many nooks and crannies on Haven that make it best for an Agent with the ability to clear spaces and deal damage behind walls to be on your team. Moreover, Breach’s ultimate skill is an S-tier ability to clear the whole site or retake for defender-sided clutches.
Best Sentinel in Haven
Killjoy
On three-site maps like Lotus and Haven, having a Sentinel who can solo-guard a site alone can make or break your defender-side game. Given Haven’s tight spaces on the site with blocks and boxes that can hinder your enemies’ way of escape, Killjoy’s Alarm Bot and mollies work well on dealing damage on this map.
As a Killjoy main, I mainly use her on C Site with the turret or the Alarm Bot guarding the garage.
Worst Agents for Haven
Harbor
Harbor’s wave wall is hard to manipulate and use to cover all the line of sight and chokepoints on Haven. While his ultimate may be a great choice for clearing the site and retakes, Breach’s near-perfect presence on this map eliminates the need for a Harbor ult.
Yoru
You may be bummed to constantly see Yoru in the “Worst Agents” category on our lists, but don’t get us wrong. Yoru is a high-skill ceiling and high-reward payoff kind of agent. If you’re new to using Yoru, you’ll likely commit many mistakes while teleporting. But once you get the hang of it, he’s a complete “turn this game around” agent.
That said, Yoru is a skill and efficiency-reliant pick and usually requires another duelist to clear the site for the team.
