Feast of Winter Star is a festive event in Stardew Valley, but the event doesn’t always bring joy to every player.
Developed by ConcernedApe and released in 2016, Stardew Valley invites players into a pixelated world where they inherit their grandpa’s farm. With tools and the open countryside ahead, players cultivate their new life, growing crops, raising animals, and forming relationships with the villagers.
Stardew Valley is more than just a farming simulator as the game has a lot of personality. The villagers have tons of dialogue which make them unique, and there are events that players can look forward to each in-game year.
One of these events is the Feast of the Winter Star, which takes place in Winter 25. It may be one of my favorite events as I’m able to give a gift to a villager, and I would also receive one through ‘Secret Santa,’ but it doesn’t top the Luau for me (purple shorts will forever be my fave ‘ingredient’ to put in the soup).
In their own Feast of the Winter Star, a Stardew Valley player may have been naughty. They received a single stone as a gift from Robin.
Receiving stone wouldn’t be that bad if there was more than one since it could be used as material for crafting. Usually, you can get 99 wood, 50 stone, and 25 hardwood as a gift from her but apparently not this year for the Stardew Valley player.
There were players who pointed out that Robin would get mad if you gifted her a rock during the Feast of the Winter Star and called her hypocritical. Another got annoyed when they put a lot of effort into their gift and end up getting trash from the villagers. They were upset as they rarely get anything meaningful back from the villagers for repairing the town.
A Stardew Valley player got Willy for the first time as their Secret Santa and was given 25 Beach Warp Totems. This is incredibly useful early in the game to save some time and get to fishing.
Perhaps the most valuable gift that can be received from the Feast of the Winter Star is the Tea Set, which can only be received during the said event. You can only buy the Tea Set after Year 25, and even then, there’s only a rare chance for the Travelling Cart to sell it for 1,000,000g.
Hopefully others have been receiving better gifts than a singular rock when they get to the Feast of the Winter Star event!
