The upcoming 1.6 update for Stardew Valley could release game-changing items for players’ storage problems.
Stardew Valley is a casual and cozy farm simulation game solely developed by ConcernedApe, also known as Eric Barone. Here, you’ll play as a farmer who can freely explore the different areas, fish, mine, and farm on your land.
When going out into the town or the different islands in the game, players would often find items they’d want to keep. This would require them to have additional storage both in chests and their backpacks.
This is where the 1.6 update of Stardew Valley could possibly have a massive role in making the players’ lives easier, especially in the late game. A player believes it “stands to reason” that the update would include backpack levels, increasing the amount of items players could carry.
It’s been confirmed that the 1.6 update would bring a new Big Chest that would hold twice as much as the biggest chest current in the 1.5 version. Including a new chest made the Reddit user believe there would be an additional two or three Backpack levels, which would be expensive in the late game.
They proposed that these could be a Mega Backpack sold for 25,000g for another 12 slots and an Atlas Backpack worth 50,000g for another 12 more. They thought having 36 backpack slots would be sufficient when mining or farming but realized that the space fills up quickly.
Another player agreed that it would be ideal to have these additional slots but would like to settle for having a different row for tools. With this option, the items they collect from farming, mining, and other means would go directly to the backpack.
A Stardew Valley player liked the idea of having a tool belt, which holds all the tools and possibly a single consumable slot to put a stack of food without overcrowding the inventory.
There certainly are many new features and items that players should look forward to in the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6 update coming this March 2024. Be on the lookout for more news and guides on the game!
