The 1.6 update in Stardew Valley brings a creepy haunted mannequin to decorate your house.
Stardew Valley is a relaxing open-ended farming simulation game developed and published by ConcernedApe. It was first released in 2016 and has received continuous updates in the succeeding years.
Stardew Valley offers much more than planting and growing crops on your farm. Players can visit the town and meet the villagers, fish in the oceans and lakes, mine and fight monsters in the mines and caverns, or casually decorate their homes with lovely furniture.
A Stardew Valley player pointed out that the 1.6 update contained some disturbing content, with one being a haunted mannequin moving around their house.
The player continued to share their experience with the haunted mannequin. The next morning, they noticed that the mannequin was wearing their clothes, which they went to bed with. They were shocked to find out that it had actually swapped the displayed outfit. The player also mentioned the Lewis’ basement easter egg, where you’re haunted by a Lucky Purple Short.
The mannequin is called a “Cursed Mannequin,” a piece of furniture that can be dropped by a Haunted Skull found in the Quarry Mine and the dungeon levels of the Mines. This mannequin can move around the house, change into the player’s clothes, or even change the wallpaper of the room they are placed in.
Besides these creepy encounters, there are many more, such as the cutscene players encounter when glitching their way to the summit. Not only that, but players also pointed out the green rain that randomly occurs once in Summer. Some even got spooked by the new possums that roam around town at night.
Stardew Valley players believed that this is ConcernedApe’s way of preparing them for the new game Haunted Chocolatier, which is still in development.
The Stardew Valley 1.6 update has more Easter eggs and mysteries to unfold, as ConcernedApe added many new content, fixes, and balance changes. Stay tuned for more news and guides for Stardew Valley, and updates on Haunted Chocolatier!
