Squad Busters will issue bans to those exploiting the bugs to gain rewards.
Squad Busters is a multiplayer squad-building action game developed and published by Supercell, the same creator behind Brawl Stars and Clash of Clans. The game features characters from the other Supercell games and undergoes various evolutions when getting copies.
It was soft launched on April 23, 2024, but only for selected countries. However, just two days later, Supercell announced that the game was going global on May 29, 2024.
Despite Squad Busters currently being in soft-launch, they are handing out bans to those who are exploiting a bug to acquire multiple rewards.
The official Squad Busters X account shared, “We are aware of some bugs that allow claiming rewards multiple times through specific chains of actions.” They continued, “Please be aware that taking advantage of these issues (aka exploiting bugs) means breaking our Terms of Service, and bans will be applied accordingly.”
They even shared a ‘too long, didn’t read,’ reminding players, “Don’t take advantage of bugs if you want to keep your account safe! Report them instead.”
A Reddit post shared that players were already making it to Squad League and earning trophies while others who played for a while were still on the second Desert World. This seemed to be the aftermath of the bug exploitation.
The bug that was being exploited was the ability to reclaim rewards from the gem pass when spectating a friend and backing out. Squad Busters’ spectating feature was now disabled because of it.
Hopefully, there will be no more bug exploitations in the future, as they ruin both fairness and the fun of building the characters from scratch. Stay tuned for more Squad Busters news and future guides on Level Push!
