Palworld’s sneak peek video unveiled four new Pals and new weapons that will be coming in future updates.
Palworld is an open-world monster-taming developed and published by Pocketpair. Players can explore the world and meet animal-like creatures called “Pals” that can be captured and help in battle, base tasks, and traveling.
Pals have different types, such as Ice and Dragon, which can help in combat. They also have Work Traits, like Planting and Transporting, that players should consider when putting them to work in base. Currently, there are a total of 139 Pals in the game, and more are coming.
The official Palworld X account tweeted on April 30, 2024, sharing the “New Pals Announcement” video and stating that they plan to add many more new Pals in future updates.
The video revealed four new Pals that will be coming to the game in the future. One is a samurai frog holding a stick that can summon a bubble and attack with water. Another is a levitating, meditating Pal that throws fire attacks. One has a mushroom head and possibly a Grass type, and a turkey that seems to have Earth-type abilities.
It’s safe to say that the frog with a stick is a fan favorite, with an X user stating, “Frog is officially #1 Pal, all others are irrelevant.” Others pleaded for more Water and Electric-type Pals, as well.
As exciting as new Pals sound, the video also showcased two new weapons: a flamethrower and possibly a laser gun.
There is yet to be a release date for these new Pals and weapons, but will surely be included in the future updates when the developers are fully ready. I’m personally excited for the mushroom small dinosaur-looking Pal among the four of them!
