How to Start a Raid in Palworld
Starting a raid in Palworld is no easy task, as you will need several things to prepare for the actual fight. To start a raid, you will need the Summoning Altar and a Pal Slab of the raid boss to start it.
Here is everything you need to know about these technology and materials, as well as the location and boss information:
Technology and Materials Needed for a Raid in Palworld
Summoning Altar
The Summoning Altar is a structure that can be unlocked at Level 33 using Ancient Technology Points. Its description states, “Offer a Slab depicting a Pal to summon a powerful Pal to your base. Adequate caution and battle readiness is paramount.”
The Summoning Altar can be built with 100 Stones and 20 Paldium Fragments, which can be easily acquired in the world.
Pal Slab
Currently, the only Raid Boss available is Bellanoir. To create their Pal Slab, you must acquire 4 Bellanoir’s Slab Fragment. Here are where you can acquire the Bellanoir Slab Fragments:
- Bellanoir Slab Fragment: Sanctuary chests and low-level Dungeon Boss chests (Level 10 Green Areas)
- Bellanoir Libero Slab Fragment: High-level Dungeon Boss chests (Level 40 Ice Area)
- Bellanoir Libero (Ultra) Slab Fragment: Win against Bellanoir Libero
When you have Bellanoir’s Slab Fragment, you may go to the Crafting Bench and craft Bellanoir’s Slab.
Bellanoir Slab Levels
- Bellanoir: Level 30.
- Bellanoir Libero: Level 50.
- Bellanoir Libero (Ultra): Level ??, stronger than the regular Bellanoir Libero.
Location
It is recommended to have a separate base that you don’t mind getting annihilated by the Raid Boss or a completely new and empty one. Bellanoir would destroy everything you build so don’t initiate one on your functional bases.
The Fight
Now, onto the battle itself. Raids in Palworld are akin to Tower Battles, demanding the use of both your base pals and your combat team. You would have a time limit of 10 minutes and you cannot catch the Raid Boss.
Your Pals don’t need to have the perfect stats to win the raids, but make sure to swap out the downed Pals through your Palbox to keep dealing damage to the Raid Boss. There’s also a chance that the fight may cause your PC to lag.
It’s worth noting that Bellanoir is a Dark Type Pal so you may use Dragon Pals against it to gain an advantage, even if a little.
