League of Legends prepares for one of the biggest updates of the 2024 season, with 14.10 introducing major item and rune changes.
The mid-season League of Legends patch has to be one of the most awaited updates to the game in each season. Aside from bringing the most changes annually, these x.10 patches also have a history of bringing the most long-term shifts in the game.
The lengthy roster of updates in the upcoming 14.10 update brings some of the most meta-changing revisions in the game. The anticipated patch will not only give us Champion kit changes, but it will also come with rune, item, and even spell modifications.
Riot Games stayed true to their promise of changing how League of Legends games go, based on the dramatic changes in the 2024 mid-season update. While we often see changes in item compositions and damage, this update takes it to another level by removing one of the most beloved runes.
League of Legends 14.10 introduces rune and item changes for ADCs
Lethal Tempo’s departure may set a new era for ADCs, so it’s time to gear up for new meta and strategies in the bot lane. However, many players are already dismayed with removing what many think is the best rune in the game.
Nearly half of League of Legends’ current item pool will experience damage or cost changes in 14.10. Some of the most significant changes include the Warmog’s decreased health regeneration rate, crit strike changes in AD items, and new boots amid Mobility Boots’ departure.
The soon-to-be-released Symbiotic Soles also introduces a new mechanic to League of Legends, where the boots will evolve into a stronger item once the player travels 150k units of in-game distance.
Some Champions will also get an overhauled kit in this upcoming patch. Corki veers away from AP damage with a balanced change to his kit.
League of Legends data miners and leakers are still working on uncovering more of the changes in the mid-season patch.
