Bel’Veth’s crit strikes are now bolstered with extra physical damage, thanks to Yun Tal Wildarrows, League of Legends’ newest item in patch 14.10.
League of Legends fans had mixed emotions over the 14.10 patch. Some were excited and yearning for in-game changes, while some were sad to see some of their favorite items and runes go. However, some keen LoL players have already developed new strategies and broken meta only one day into the update.
One of the standout additions in the 14.10 update is Yun Tal Wildarrows, a crit-strike item that appears tailor-made for high-speed auto attackers. While its 65 attack damage and 25% critical strike chance are in line with other AD items, its true allure lies in its unique passive ability, which sets it apart from the rest.
Champions who deal critical strike attacks will now inflict extra damage with Yun Tal Wildarrows. “Basic attacks that critically strike inflict a bleed on the target, causing them to take 8.75% AD bonus physical damage every 0.5 seconds over 2 seconds,” with the bleed damage capable of stacking (without refreshing the 2-second period.)
Among the Champions who could have Yun Tal as their bread and butter in their 14.10 arsenal is Bel’Veth, whose high attack speed would deal deathly blows upon the items’ stacks. In a video by Vandiril, the LoL player shows the frightening prowess of the new item with Bel’Veth’s kit.
Yun Tal Wildarrow’s ability to stack makes it a lethal combination with Bel’Veth’s third skill (E), which deals repeated blows and slashes to enemies. Now that most AD items have a 25% critical strike chance, you only need four items (including Yun Tal Wildarrows) to deal bleed damage.
Aside from Bel’Veth, other Champions who could benefit from building the new item include Twitch (thanks to his ultimate ability) and Shyvana. While the burn applies to Miss Fortune’s first skill, it does not inflict extra damage with her ultimate.
On the first day of the 14.10 update, ADC League of Legends players are already suggesting for fellow attack damage players to “definitely try out” or “abuse” the new item.
While Bel’Veth’s new capability to nearly double her damage is great news for jungler mains, we should wait and see if Riot Games patches the item with hotfixes or adjustments to avoid an overpowered status to any Champion.
