Numby, Topaz’s partner, contributes significant fire damage that counts as FuA, which is particularly effective once Topaz has marked the enemies with proof of debt. Their effectiveness is maximized when other characters perform FuA on the marked enemy, speeding up Numby’s attack sequence.
Their strategic use revolves around deploying Topaz’s “Proof of Debt” to enhance Numby’s output and the output of any team member who can perform FuA, leveraging their synergy to optimize damage, particularly in single-target scenarios like boss fights. However, due to their focus on single targets, they may perform less well in AOE situations and are best utilized in teams that emphasize FuA rather than as standalone DPS.
Topaz’s Technique, “Explicit Subsidy,” has utility beyond combat. It summons Numby in the overworld to assist in gathering resources and automatically locating Basic Treasures and Trotters. However, note that although she is a Hunt character, she doesn’t perform exceptionally well like Seele.
