Helldivers 2 had just been released on February 8, 2024. Despite this, there are already different currency types that players will encounter. If you’re confused about what they are, this guide will explain what they are, where to find them, and their uses in the game.
All currency types in Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 has four currency types, including Requisition Slips, Medals, Super Credits, and Samples. There are also three different types of Samples. These can be used in the game for various things, such as purchasing and upgrading.
Requisition Slips
Requisition Slips, or “R,” are the main currency in the game. They can be spent through Ship Management when purchasing the different Stratagems in the game. This includes the support weapons, orbital strikes, and more.
These are obtainable by doing primary and secondary missions, as well as completing Major Orders listed on the mission terminal.
Medals
Medals can be used in the Acquisition Center. There are different Warbond tiers within the center, which can be unlocked by these Medals. Warbonds contain weapons, poses, armor, cosmetics, and Super Credits.
Medals can be earned through completing mission objectives, Operations, Personal Order daily missions, and liberation on crashed drones on the planet surface.
Super Credits
Super Credits is the premium currency players can buy with real money in the Acquisition Center. Prices of Super Credits range from $1.99 to $19.99. These are used to unlock Premium Warbonds and buy skins in the Superstore.
Besides buying them, players can also earn them in-game through the Warbonds by using Medals. They can also be obtained by going to Points of Interest (POI) in missions. These are the diamond icons that show up, but they do not always give Super Credits. They can also be found during matches on the planet surface in armories and beacons.
Samples
Lastly are the Samples. There are three types of samples in Helldivers 2: green (common), orange (rare), and pink (uranium/super) samples. These are used in the Ship Management to upgrade or acquire Ship Modules. These upgrades include reduced cooldowns and additional magazines for your support weapons.
These Samples are found on various planets whenever Helldivers go on their missions, such as enemy bases:
- Green samples can be liberated from planet surfaces at difficulty one and above.
- Orange samples can be liberated from planet surfaces at difficulty four and above.
- Pink samples can be found at difficulty seven and above.
Do note that if you die, these samples are dropped. They can still be picked up when you are redeployed or be picked up by your co-op members.
