miHoYo has registered a new game trademark on the official Chinese trademark website and fans are speculating that it’s for a game similar to Animal Crossing.
miHoYo is a Chinese video game development and publishing company based in Shanghai, China. Besides games, the company has other products like animated series, music, and merchandise.
The company has many notable games, such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd. They launched the brand HoYoverse under Cognosphere in February 2022 and have been doing business globally under this brand.
A user shared on Reddit that the game company had recently registered a new product named “XinBuGuDi (星布谷地)” on February 2, 2024. The name is translated as “Star Cloth Valley” or “Starry Sky Valley.”
They also noticed that an account with the same name was on Bilibili, with the IP originating in Shanghai. A Weibo account, a site similar to X, was registered with the same name on February 22. All of this evidence has people believing these are officially associated with miHoYo.
The registrations and social media accounts led people to speculate that this may be for the previously leaked simulation management game. This would have elements similar to Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. The company’s next move may be to develop a strong social media presence due to the creation of accounts.
Another Reddit user shared that the game company would eventually have a game in every genre available. Others mentioned that the new sim management would be another miHoYo game that will sell new versions of Raiden Mei (Ei/Raiden Shogun) and make billions.
Despite these recent developments, there isn’t much information regarding miHoYo’s new simulation management game. Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), one of their newest game in development, is also set to release sometime this year. Make sure to stay updated on the other games like Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact!
