Mutations are coming to Brawl Stars, and they’re set to shake up the battlefield. What can players expect from this game-changing update?
Mutations are part of Brawl Stars Godzilla Season, which runs from April 29 to May 20, alongside the new Godzilla City Smash mode. Players will have the opportunity to unlock Mutations through Monster Eggs, which also grant various other rewards. Mutations won’t be around forever, so here’s what you need to know.
What are Mutations?

Mutations are supercharged abilities that enhance a Brawler’s standard attack, super attack, or even provide a completely new ability.
For example, Grom’s Mutation enhances his attack to include four additional projectiles that fire in an X-shape, alongside a boosted Super Charge rate. Overpowered much?
Fortunately, these Mutations are only usable in specific game modes that allow these powerful modifications, ensuring that usual gameplay modes remain balanced. Phew.
How to get Mutations

Players can get Mutations through Monster Eggs, which can be earned primarily by participating in the Godzilla City Smash mode.
Godzilla City Smash is a thrilling 3v3 battle where players collect items to transform into Godzilla or Mechagodzilla and attempt to cause the most destruction. Winning in this mode yields up to six eggs every few days, with consolation prizes for the losing teams. These eggs are your ticket to acquiring one of the 40 new Mutations, available only during this limited-time event.
Other ways to get Monster Eggs include the daily rewards track, in which Eggs will now appear alongside your usual daily Starr Drops. Monster Eggs will be unlocked after securing the second and seventh win each day.
