Snow Stomper in AFK Journey
Snow Stomper, a boss in the Dream Realm, challenges players with a mix of melee and ranged attacks, along with a devastating Blizzard ability.
Snow Stomper Mechanics
The Snow Stomper starts the encounter with aggressive melee and ranged attacks. It quickly shifts tactics to include significant AoE threats. Approximately 10 seconds into combat, the Snow Stomper unleashes its signature Blizzard, enveloping the battlefield in a freezing storm for 20 seconds. This is followed by a brief 10-second respite before the cycle restarts.
Snow Stomper’s Attacks
- Ultimate: Snow Stomper uses its ultimate power to encase a selected enemy in a block of ice known as a Yeti Cell. The targeted hero becomes completely immobilized and unable to act, effectively removing them from combat until the ice is shattered.
- Skills
- Snow Stomper periodically casts a powerful silence over all enemies, which prevents them from using their skills for an extended duration.
- This skill targets a single hero, dealing a significant amount of true damage that bypasses any armor or shields. Additionally, it inflicts a damage-over-time effect, causing the hero to lose health steadily over the next few seconds.
- Focusing on the hero with the highest current HP ratio, Snow Stomper delivers a mighty blow that knocks the target down. This attack disrupts any ongoing actions and briefly incapacitates the hero.
- Snow Stomper performs a wide arc attack that deals multiple instances of damage to any enemies caught within the radius of one tile. This skill is particularly dangerous and can hit various heroes if they are closely positioned.
Best teams against Snow Stomper
I found that using teams with no healer but have multiple tank heroes are valuable, especially heroes with Life Drain to help more with survivability, but of course if you find yourself struggling to survive, replace some heroes to last longer in the fights.
Note that you need at least two DPS heroes for the team to deal the highest damage you can while balancing having tanky units to last longer. Also, since one of the abilities of the Snow Stomper is freezing a unit until it’s broken, the other DPS hero can help break that quickly.
Standard Tank, Debuffer, DPS team
Based on my testing, this team dealt the most damage and survived the longest against the Snow Stomper. This utilizes the 3+2 faction bonus, increasing the whole team’s HP and ATK. This can also easily break through the Yeti Cell (which freezes a hero) to go back and deal more damage.

Another interesting team is one that utilizes two debuffers. This team balances damage, survival, and debuffs to last longer and deal damage to the boss. Temesia can help lessen the damage dealt by the Snow Stomper while also dealing decent damage to the boss.
