AFK Journey brings you along for an adventure through the magical world of Esperia, where you recruit heroes and battle different monsters. Here are all the currency types available in the game, how to get them, and where to use them!
These are all the AFK Journey Currency Types, including currencies and materials in the game. This covers where players can acquire them and what to use them on.
Gold
One of the most basic currency types in any game is its Gold. This can be used mainly to level up your heroes, forge their equipment, upgrade your Artifacts, buy Cosmetics through the Friendship Store, and in the Ironhoof Forge in Holistone to buy Equipment.
Players can acquire Gold through various ways, such as going through the AFK Stages and claiming their AFK Rewards and Instant AFK, completing tasks in the Exploration Journal, opening Chests and exploring the world, and Battle Modes such as Honor Duel and Arena.
Diamond
Diamonds are rare resources in Esperia and have many special uses. It can be used in the Guild Store found in the Emporium to buy discounted Invite Letters, Acorns, Tidal Essences, and Epic Invite Letters. Players can also redeem Invite Letters (Regular and Rate-Up only) directly in the Noble Tavern to recruit new heroes.
You can obtain them in almost all activities but here are the specific sources for Diamonds: Trolley (using real money), world loot such as in chests, completing Story Quests, Events, Daily Quests, Growth Trials, Battle Modes such as Dream Realm, completion of Exploration Journal per area, and clearing a number of AFK Stages.
Training Manual
This is a magic manual that records the battle experiences of legendary heroes. It is essential for upgrading heroes.
Training Manuals can be acquired through numerous ways such as claiming AFK Rewards and Instant AFK, participating in Arena, Daily Quests, Growth Trials, Battle Modes such as the Dream Realm, and completion of Exploration Journal tasks.
Hero Essence
This is a wondrous powder that contains dense energy and is used to promote heroes. This is used when leveling up your heroes from X0 to X1 (for example, level 80 to level 81) in the Resonating Hall.
This can mainly be obtained by claiming the AFK Rewards and Instant AFK, scattered around the world in chests and on the ground, Arcane Labyrinth.
Dolly Ticket
This is obtained whenever you pull in any of the Recruitment banners (Rate-Up, All-Hero, Epic, and Stargaze Station) in the Noble Tavern. For each pull, you would receive 5 Dolly Tickets for All-Hero and Rate-Up, 10 Dolly Tickets for Epic, and 15 Dolly Tickets for Stargaze Station.
These can then be used to buy Invite Letters, Soulstones, Acorns, and later on, Stellar Crystals for the Stargaze Station.
Arena Coin
The reward for winning in the Arena. This can be used to redeem certain prizes in the Arena Store through the Emporium. The prizes that players can get are Epic Soul Sigils priced at 9,600 Arena Coins.
The Arena Coins can only be obtained by participating in Arena and battling it out with other players.
Dream Fragment
A magical gift obtained from the Ancient Dream after exploring the Dream Realm and defeating the nightmare. It looks like a shattered crystal, but it glows with a peculiar, mesmerizing light. It can buy Elite Soul Sigils that are priced at 1,200 Dream Fragments in the Dream Store through the Emporium.
Players can only acquire Dream Fragments by participating and defeating the rotational bosses at different difficulties in Dream Realm.
Guild Medal
Forged from brass into three blades of valor, symbolizing courage and unwavering conviction. This is the commemorative medal issued by the Guild. It is used in the Guild Store through the Emporium which allows you to buy Hypogean and Celestial heroes for 30,000g.
This can be obtained by participating in Guild activities such as completion of Guild Challenges, Battle Drills, and opening Guild Chests.
Pal-Coin
This is a token representing friendship, earned by assisting others. It can be used to buy in the Friendship Store (Emporium), which has a daily store that refreshes every 24 hours and a permanent store where you can buy actions such as Hug and Lie Down.
The Pal-Coins can be acquired by going to the Friends tab and pressing the “Send & Receive,” until the Collection Progress reaches 10/10.
Holistone Coins
This unique Gold bears the sacred stone pattern, with rarity making it more valuable to collectors than for practical use. Its circulation is limited, primarily within a small circle of Holistone insiders. This can be obtained by defeating monsters throughout the main quest such as regular battles, Miasma, Solo Crucible, Elite monsters, Tactical Drill, and others.
This can be used by going to Keith’s Treasure Hut, which is located in Holistone. Here, you can purchase Equipment, Training Manuals, and Soulstones.
Dragon Crystal
Tokens that can be bought in the Trolley. This is basically the currency that you get when you use real-world money. With the Dragon Crystals, you can buy Cosmetics, Diamonds, and Limited Supplies and Bundles.
