Supercell seemingly signed in big Hollywood names, including no other than Thor himself, for Squad Busters, their first new mobile game since 2018.
Supercell seems more than ready to catapult their most-awaited new mobile game, Squad Busters. As the Norwegian developer’s first new title since Brawl Stars, released in 2018, many fans are eager to witness what the game has in store – both in its premise and how Supercell will promote it.
While some recent advertising steps from Supercell raised some eyebrows, particularly to Clash of Clans fans, it seems like they’re ready to pull all the necessary steps to make Squad Busters launch a successful one – including signing up Hollywood’s biggest stars for an ad.
Eagle-eyed fans snapped a pic of Chris Hemsworth, Christina Ricci, Ken Jeong, and many other stars in what possibly is an ad for Squad Busters.
All stars are dressed in familiar Supercell game characters, with the Marvel star wearing the Barbarian from Clash of Clans and Christina Ricci dressed as the Witch.
While many fans are surprised to see Brawl Stars’ devs exert much of their budget on an ad, this is not the first time Supercell has signed prolific stars to bolster their game’s name into superstardom. Most notably, they previously signed Taken star Liam Neeson with a Clash of Clans ad back in 2014.
Moreover, the company seems to have ramped up its marketing efforts even for existing games. The current Clash of Clans event features football-themed rewards, including a special Barbarian King skin featuring Manchester United football star Erling Haaland.
With these big names and familiar faces starring in its upcoming ad, Supercell aims to lure the general public into its newest 10-person multiplayer game.
But beyond the star-studded commercial, Supercell fans will be welcomed by familiar faces in the upcoming game. Squad Busters will feature characters from the game developer’s current games, including Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, Hay Day, and Boom Beach.
Squad Busters is available in Canada, Denmark, Finland, Mexico, Norway, Singapore, Spain, and Sweden, with worldwide release expected on May 29, 2024.
