The Stargaze Station can intimidate AFK Journey free-to-play players, but they shouldn’t completely forget about it.
AFK Journey is an idle role-playing game (RPG) developed by FARLIGHT and Lilith Games, the latter of which is behind AFK Arena. These two games share similarities, such as their characters, but their gameplay and visuals differ.
In both games, players must collect characters and their duplicates to ascend to higher hero tiers, increasing their stats and unlocking skills. While many characters from the four factions are amazing in their roles, there are also the Hypogeans and Celestials.
These two factions are much harder to obtain and ascend. Currently, they can only be obtained through the Guild Store, the Stargaze Station, and a chance to get them through the Free Login Reward.
An AFK Journey player called the Stargaze Station “BS” as they weren’t allowed to use Diamonds like in AFK Arena.
In AFK Arena, players can use 1 Stargazer Card from real money or 500 Diamonds. In AFK Journey, players can only pull for the Celestials or Hypogeans in the Stargaze Station if they have Stellar Crystals, which is hard to get as a free-to-play (F2P) player.
One player can get two to five Stellar Crystals through the Recruitment Store using Dolly Tickets monthly, but you need approximately 2,480 Dolly Tickets to get all of it. This may be the reason why the Reddit user was frustrated, “Are we supposed to get one of them in the pity after 4 months? Do I have to spend money?”
There may be some hope for F2P players, as one player commented on how similar this was to the beginnings of AFK Arena. They couldn’t stargaze or pull with Diamonds when it was first released.
There are others who advised F2P players to forget about Stargaze Station and focus on the Guild Store, as you can also get copies of the Hypogeans and Celestials there. Some still encourage the players to get the discounted Stellar Crystals.
While it can be hard to get Stellar Crystals, as we have limited options for acquiring them for free, F2P players should still get them when they can. Stargazing may become more accessible in the future, but we can never know until the next AFK Journey updates.
