Breeze seems like a great vacation destination, but its wideness and open areas require utilities from the best agents to take control. Here are the best and worst agents for this map!
Breeze is a map that challenges conventional Valorant gameplay, emphasizing long-range engagements and strategic control over vast areas. With its wide, open areas and expansive sites, the choice of agent can significantly impact your team’s performance.
This guide will explore the agents that excel in leveraging Breeze’s layout to their advantage and those who might struggle to find their footing. Whether you’re planning your ascent through the ranks or just looking to enhance your casual play, understanding the dynamics of agent selection on Breeze is key to mastering the map.
As usual, agents like Reyna and Iso would not be included in the list for Best and Worst Agents in Valorant Maps lists. Their utilities heavily rely on the player’s skills more than their abilities.
Best Duelist in Breeze
Jett
Despite the many nerfs that Jett has received in the past, she still shines as the best Duelist for Breeze due to her high mobility with her dash and updraft. She can also conceal herself in her smoke or use it to smoke off the enemy’s line of sight briefly. Since players would benefit greatly from sniper rifles on this map, Jett is also one of the best agents for it.
Best Controller in Breeze
Viper
Hands down, the best Controller for this map is Viper. Her wall and orb can cover half the site during the attacking side. This ensures that most areas are covered, which allows her teammates to enter the site, only focusing on certain areas where enemies may possibly hide.
Her kit also includes snake bites, damaging and making the enemy vulnerable. This can be used to clear certain spots, such as the ones with the caution sign, further helping the team enter the site safely.
An alternative for Viper would be Harbor, as he also has walls and a great ultimate that covers a wide area. This would effectively displace the enemies as they try to avoid the stuns that spawn in his ultimate. While he can be good, I’d still recommend Viper over all the Controllers for this map.
Best Initiator in Breeze
Sova
Sova is possibly the best Initiator for Breeze because he can gather a lot of information with his utilities. He can easily get info with his recon and drone, clearing near the entrance and site. His shock darts are also useful in damaging enemies and destroying the traps from Sentinels such as Cypher and KJ.
Best Sentinels in Breeze
Cypher
Cypher’s tripwires are unbreakable until you destroy them with your gun, melee, or abilities, so he’s pretty OP on Breeze (and other maps). Due to the many tripwire spots, this agent’s default site to hold would be B. Players could position themselves behind the pillar or near the entrance by B Back so he could kill those who get tripped.
Chamber
Breeze, in my opinion, heavily favors long-range guns such as the Marshal, Outlaw, and Operator. With Chamber’s Ultimate being a custom sniper gives him the upper hand in holding site, combined with his trap and teleport. He can also elevate himself with his teleport pre-round to catch enemies off-guard, such as on top of the pyramids in A Site.
Due to the nerfs Chamber received in the past, he’d have to stay within the radius of his trap to avoid letting the enemies sneakily slip in.
Worst Agents in Breeze
Raze
Raze is great in many of Valorant’s maps, such as Split and Icebox, but can face difficulties in larger maps, such as Breeze. While you could still choose her and still be effective to entry for B Site, there’s still other alternatives better than her for Breeze such as Jett and Neon.
Deadlock
While I personally don’t believe that Deadlock is absolutely bad (I use her on competitive and scrims sometimes), it’s still hard to justify including her in a team comp. As a Sentinel, enemies could just walk past her traps or easily break them as they are very loud. She’s not effectively holding flanks, which is crucial in larger maps such as Breeze.
