AFK Journey Primal Lord

The Primal Lord is a raid boss event in which players can work together to take down the boss—the less time it takes to kill the boss, the better the rewards.

Here are the details of the event’s structure and rewards:

• Participants can challenge the Primal Lord up to three times daily.
• An Eternal Inscription is placed at its demise site upon the boss’s defeat, honoring the top 20 damage dealers.

Rewards:

• Immediate personal rewards for each challenge are based on the total damage dealt to the Primal Lord, including:
  • Essence
  • Gold
  • Experience
  • Chests
• Rankings are determined by the total damage dealt during the event, with the top 200 players receiving:
  • The “Wolfslayer” title
  • Twilight Essence
• Server-wide rewards are distributed, encompassing:
  • Diamonds
  • Invite Letters
  • A-Level Soulstones
  • Additional chests

Primal Lord Lone Gaze in AFK Journey

Lone Gaze is one of the Primal Lords in the game. Shrouded in mystery and mist, this primal lord summons the ferocity of the wild, commanding wolf packs and utilizing the fog to his advantage.

Primal Lord Lone Gaze Mechanics

Lone Gaze’s mechanics revolve around his ability to manipulate the battlefield with a mystic mist, which enhances his attacks and provides him with evasive capabilities. It can also summon wolves and deal massive damage, especially becoming increasingly deadly when it defeats a hero in your team.

Primal Lord Lone Gaze’s Attacks

Understanding and countering his skills are crucial to overcoming this formidable foe.

• Ultimate: Every 10, 40, and 70 seconds, Lone Gaze cloaks the battlefield in a dense mist. This not only conceals him, granting him a chance to dodge incoming attacks but also allows him to call upon wolf packs that target enemies shrouded in the fog.
• Skill
  • Targeting the farthest enemy, Lone Gaze charges ferociously to deliver a powerful strike. This skill becomes even more lethal during the mist as it summons spectral wolves that focus on the targeted enemy.
  • A two-fold attack that initially strikes enemies within a 1-tile arc, followed by a secondary damage wave to those within proximity. This skill not only deals with significant damage but also has an interruption effect.
• Passive: Each time Lone Gaze defeats a non-summoned enemy, he gains a temporary stat boost, making him progressively more dangerous as the battle drags on.

Best teams against Primal Lord Lone Gaze

Lone Gaze can deal massive damage, so I recommend having at least two healers since its skills can be lethal. Using a single healer team is possible, but it is not recommended for F2P players, so you are better off using two healers to deal as much damage as possible.

Mauler Team ft. Vala

Based on my testing, this is the best team to survive long enough and deal damage. It has the highest damage ceiling. You can also choose to replace a DPS with another DPS that is ascended higher since the goal of the Primal Lord event is to deal as much damage as possible. This team takes advantage of the Faction bonus, thus making the whole team tankier and dealing more damage.

Double Debuffer and DPS

Another excellent team I found is a double debuffer team. The team can take advantage of the debuffs to deal more damage. This team uses a 3+2 faction bonus, which grants a 14% increase in HP and ATK. Although this team uses only one healer, it can still deal decent damage, as Smokey and Meerky are capable of sustaining the team. I recommend using the Awakening Spell when using this team to survive longer in battle. 

Double DPS and Healer

Another decent team utilizing two healers and two DPS. This team’s survivability is high, as we have a good tank with two good healers. This balances out damage and survivability, and you are guaranteed to deal high damage, with the supports doubling in as debuffers and buffers for the team.

The Starshard Spell artifact is invaluable for teams facing Primal Lord: Lone Gaze, providing a team-wide benefit that triggers a flame wave dealing true damage to the boss after every four ultimate casts.

Remember, the goal is to survive and deal as much damage as possible to gain more rewards. Putting five DPS on the team is not as efficient as making a standard team with two healers for this boss.
