The latest 1.6 update for Stardew Valley introduced the new fish smoker, and it ended up making the Riverland Farm “overpowered” in the eyes of some players.
Released in 2016 by indie developer ConcernedApe, Stardew Valley is a captivating farming simulation game that invites players to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and find solace in Pelican Town’s tranquil setting.
It’s a place where players can grow crops, raise animals, mine for resources, fish in the ocean and lake, talk with the villagers, and much more, all while restoring their grandfather’s old farm to its former glory.
Stardew Valley players can select the farm they start on in the character creation. There are currently eight selections to choose from: Standard Farm, Forest Farm, Hill-Top Farm, Wilderness Farm, Four Corners Farm, Beach Farm, the new Meadowlands Farm, and the Riverland Farm.
With the addition of a new item in the 1.6 update, the Fish Smoker, Riverland Farm has become a goldmine for players.
In a Reddit post, a Stardew Valley player shared that the 1.6 update completely changed how people would play on the Riverland Farm due to the Fish Smoker. They detailed a guide on how the Riverland Farm would profit players.
They shared a detailed guide on how to make a profit with the Fish Smoker by maxing out the Fishing skill in a few days. They also provided a video guide for those who would want to see how things were done.
Another Stardew Valley fan shared that they were doing their 1.6 update playthrough on the Riverland Farm because they love fishing. The free Fish Smoker enticed them, but they expressed that the lack of space after Year 1 was a pain. It was hard for them to decorate, as they already had limited farming space.
Players get the Fish Smoker for free if they choose the Riverland Farm, or they can buy the recipe from Willy for 10,000g. They can also get it through the Prize Machine in the Mayor’s Manor.
The Stardew Valley 1.6 update is packed with new content for players, new and old, to enjoy and explore. So, don’t be afraid to keep grinding through your playthroughs!
