Stardew Valley players are digging into the town’s trash cans to find furniture surprises.
Stardew Valley is a farming simulation game developed and published by ConcernedApe. It was initially released in February 2016 on the PC, with other consoles and mobile following in the later years.
Players take on the role of a farmer who inherited their grandfather’s farm plot. They could continue the farm’s legacy by planting and growing crops, fishing in the ocean or lakes, or looting trash cans around town. Just make sure no one witnesses you do that.
Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update was released on March 19, 2024, and people are already finding cool easter eggs, such as the Terraria reference. This time, players who went dumpster diving found themselves a decoration catalogue.
A Stardew Valley fan shared that they searched the trash bins until they found the new Trash Catalogue. The description of the item reads as: “Access a free supply of trash decorations. Wash hands after use.” The catalogue contains items such as the Plastic Lawn Chair, Moldy Couch, Broke Television, and Buried Tire.
While it may not seem exciting initially, some think the Trash Catalogue is incredible as they love trash furniture in Animal Crossing New Horizons. They shared how decorating certain parts of the farm or town with the items to make it feel authentic or city-esque would be fun.
Other Reddit users pointed out that the 1.6 update has over 250 new pieces of furniture, including themed furniture sets that may pertain to the catalogues. Other catalogues, such as the vintage catalogue, Junimo catalogue, and the Wizard’s catalogue, are also available in the game.
The Stardew Valley 1.6 update definitely upped the game’s charm and excited new and old players for the new finds.
