Chronicled Wish banner in Genshin Impact
What is Chronicled Wish banner?
Before diving into the specifics, it’s essential to grasp what sets the Chronicled Wish banner apart. This new event wish format offers players a unique way to obtain specific rerun characters and weapons by allowing them to choose a “Chronicled Path.” This path leads to a more targeted approach in acquiring 5-star characters and weapons, distinguishing it from the game’s standard wish mechanics.
What can I get from the Chronicled Wish banner?
The Chronicled Wish banner allows you to wish for an array of 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star items, including both characters and weapons. It’s distinguished by its inclusion of event wish-exclusive characters and weapons, providing a broader selection for players to choose from. For the whole list of items you can get, click here.
Chronicled Wish banner rules
Before you can wish in the Chronicled Wish banner, the player should first select the Chronicled Path by selecting either a 5-star character or 5-star weapon. The player is guaranteed a 5-star item in 90 pulls. The type of Fate used in this banner is Intertwined Fate.
Note: If you select a 5-star character, you can only obtain 5-star characters; if you select a 5-star weapon, you can only obtain 5-star weapons.
After selecting a 5-star item as your Designated Item, receiving a different 5-star item grants you 1 Fate Point. Accumulating 1 Fate Point (the maximum) guarantees that the next 5-star item you obtain will be your Designated Item.
Receiving your Designated Item or altering your selection resets your Fate Points to zero.
Chronicled Wish banner pity system
The Chronicled Wish banner incorporates a pity system to balance the odds. A maximum of 90 wishes guarantees a 5-star item, and every 10 wishes ensures a 4-star or above item. Accumulating Fate Points by not receiving your Designated Item increases your chances of getting it in subsequent wishes, providing a safety net for players.
If the player doesn’t have a Fate Point, there is a 50% chance to get the 5-star item the player selected. If the player gets the 5-star item they selected, this will reset their pity and no Fate Point will be added.
Otherwise, if the player failed to get the 5-star item they selected, this will add 1 Fate Point. This means that the next 5-star item the player gets is the one that the player selected.
For example, the player selected Klee as their Designated Item, they have a 50% chance to get Klee among the pool of 5-star characters. If the player didn’t get Klee, this will add 1 Fate Point. When the player continues to wish in the Chronicled Wish banner, they are now guaranteed to get Klee as their 5-star item. After getting Klee, the Fate Point will now reset back to zero.
Note: Fate Points do not carry over to the next Chronicled Wish banner, but the wish count does. The pity count in this banner is independent from other banners.
