A lone house spotted in the out-of-bounds area of Liyue in Genshin Impact has sparked creepy and interesting theories from players.
Genshin Impact is an open-world role-playing game in which players can enjoy exploration and combat. Currently, they may traverse different areas and regions, including Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, and Fontaine.
The world of Teyvat is vast and contains many secrets or lore outside of the game’s main storyline. When nearing the edge of the playable area, Paimon warns travelers. Thus, many areas remain to be uncovered in the game’s world.
A Traveler shared photos of a house that stood alone at the South edge of Liyue. Only trees and the sea surrounded it. No other life forms could be seen near the house, probably because it was out of bounds.
A player found it creepy, feeling as if it’s hiding something sinister inside, as it has existed since the first release of Genshin Impact way back in 2020 and still exists.
Some have joked that it is the building structure that couldn’t fit in their Serenitea Pot, while others have dived into it from a more technical standpoint.
A few players believe that this house belongs to Yelan since her release. As stated by the Reddit user, Yelan described her house as in a secluded area that is quiet and far from the city. This is supported by one of her dialogues: “My home’s located some way outside of the city, in a very quiet and peaceful area.”
Many have speculated that this house is merely a background decoration or a placeholder that the developers put in.
A Reddit user who works as a 3D Artist shared that this is a placeholder for a source object to spawn related items such as grass and buildings. Others shared that this is an undeveloped part of Blackcliff Forge, which may eventually be available in the game in future updates.
Whether or not this is just a placeholder or will manifest once a new map update comes to Genshin Impact, players are intrigued by what the house has inside. Either way, it’s a simple abode that players can enjoy looking at a distance.
